Electricity is the hidden cost of 7×24 duty. A cabinet AC looks like "another AC" but uses far less than cooling a whole workshop or room.
1. How much power
It is an on-demand closed-loop device cooling only one enclosure. A 3000W unit draws about 1.0–1.4 kW compressor input; 5000W/7500W scale up. Versus an industrial AC for the whole switchroom, a cabinet AC feeds "one cabinet" — far lower cost.
2. Where efficiency comes from
- High-efficiency motor: low fan power, long 7×24 life;
- R410A + : high EER, less power per cooling;
- Closed loop: no outside humid air, high heat-exchange efficiency.
3. Savings design
| Measure | Saving | HCK |
|---|---|---|
| Efficient motor | Lower fan power | Across range |
| Sensible setpoint | Fewer starts | A few °C above dew point |
| RS485 control | Run on demand | Group control |
| Wide-temp start | No heat waste | Starts at -40℃ |
4. Savings checklist
- Setpoint 3–5℃ above dew point to avoid frequent starts;
- Clean coils to keep input power low;
- RS485 group control for multi-cabinet on-demand run;
- Choose R410A + efficient-motor models for lower lifetime cost.
