Box Substation & Transformer for the Middle East

Haocheng configures box substations and power transformers for Middle East conditions - extreme ambient heat, sand and dust, coastal salt exposure and high solar radiation - with project-specific rating, enclosure and documentation.

Built for Middle East Conditions

Middle East projects combine high ambient temperature with airborne sand, coastal humidity and intense solar load. Haocheng box substations (ZGS / YB series) and power transformers (S11/S13/SHB15/SCB10/SCB11) are configured for these conditions rather than supplied as standard units.

Box Substation & Transformer for the Middle East

Regional Conditions We Design For

High ambient heat

Ambient temperature regularly reaches 50-55C; tropical-grade insulation and enhanced heat dissipation are specified, with continuous rating reviewed against site ambient.

Sand and dust

Sealed enclosure to IP54+ with filtered ventilation and sand-resistant louvres to limit ingress into transformer and LV compartments.

Coastal salt and humidity

Anti-corrosion coating and sealed gland entries for Gulf coastal and offshore-adjacent sites exposed to salt-laden air.

Solar radiation

Roof and wall shielding with reflective finishes to reduce solar heat gain on the enclosure.

Recommended Configuration

Enclosure

Steel enclosure IP33~IP54, specified to IP54+ with anti-corrosion treatment for dusty, coastal or high-solar sites.

Transformer type

Oil-immersed S11/S13 for outdoor duty; dry-type SCB10/SCB11 where fire safety or indoor installation is preferred.

Ratings

50-2500 kVA with 10/20 kV input; common output 400V at 50Hz, with 60Hz configurable per project.

Switchgear

KYN28A-12 / HXGN HV chambers and GCK/GCS/MNS LV distribution as required by the single-line diagram.

Standards and Documentation

Equipment is supplied to IEC standards with CE marked and CCC. Export documentation is provided, and the local certification process required by the destination authority (for example SASO or G-Mark frameworks) is supported with the technical file and test reports. Share your project parameters for selection.

How is high ambient temperature handled?

Tropical-grade insulation and enhanced cooling are specified, and the continuous rating is reviewed against site ambient so the unit is not operated above its thermal limit.

What protection against sand?

Enclosure to IP54+ with filtered ventilation and sand-resistant louvres; transformer and LV compartments are sealed against ingress.

50Hz or 60Hz?

400V/50Hz is the common configuration; 60Hz is configurable per project. Confirm grid frequency at enquiry stage.

Oil-immersed or dry-type for the Gulf?

Oil-immersed S11/S13 suits outdoor substations; dry-type SCB10/SCB11 suits indoor, fire-sensitive or dust-controlled rooms.

What documents are supplied?

IEC-based test reports, CE marked and CCC documentation, plus export documents and technical file support for local certification.
